FSC International Standard

A FSC international standard is a standard approved by the FSC Board of Directors and applicable internationally. Standards present procedures and requirements to ensure that FSC activities are carried out in a consistent, fair way.

Example: FSC accreditation standards (FSC-STD-20-001 to 010)

National and sub-national forest management standards are developed by FSC National Initiatives, not by the FSC International Center.
FSC is committed to complying with the ISEAL Code of Good Practice for Setting Social and Environmental Standards. This code is available from the ISEAL website
