General Assembly 2005 is your opportunity to shape the direction of the FSC as it embarks on a second decade of positive, profound impact on our forests – and on the people that depend on our forest resources.

To be able to face the challenges ahead, FSC needs strategic changes. The General Assembly 2005 brings the FSC global network together to deliberate and decide on motions that will determine the magnitude of these changes and our forward progress for the years to come.

As a participant, you’ll also have a chance to speak your mind in side meetings and critical discussions about: · Plantations; · Social Issues and the Chain of Custody; · Controlled wood; · More effective, more efficient governance; · The changing role and responsibilities of National Initiatives; and other topics of importance to members, certificate holders, and stakeholders.

Be sure to arrive early and attend Strategic Workshops on: · Making FSC work in the marketplace · Social issues and the FSC Chain of Custody · Making FSC work in the tropics as well as social, environmental, and economic chamber meetings.
