certification body
An independent body that conducts certification to FSC standards.
Only FSC accredited certification bodies can issue, renew and withdraw FSC certificates.
To become FSC accredited, certification bodies must comply with an extensive set of FSC rules and procedures which are verified by Accreditation Services International (ASI).
