BACKGROUND

The draft of the FSC-STD-50-002 V1-0 Requirements for promotional use of the FSC trademarks by uncertified trademark licensees is open for public consultation.

This standard provides the requirements for trademark use of the following uncertified organizations:

•    Organizations which according to the requirements of the standard FSC-STD-40-004 are not required to have chain of custody certification (e.g. retailers, agents, individual or organizational end-consumers) and wish to promote FSC labeled products, advise or specify use of FSC products, use FSC products in their business or activities, or promote FSC as a system;

•    Educational and research organizations;

•    Media organizations;

•    Certification bodies and their sub-contractors who deliver FSC certification services.

HOW TO SUBMIT COMMENTS

Please download the FSC-STD-50-002 V1-0 and send your comments to the FSC Trademark Service Unit using the comment form. The deadline for comments is 26 March 2011.
